XML (eXtensible markup language)

Extensible markup language (XML) is a markup language that defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that is both human-readable and machine-readable. XML files use tags to identify the start and end of elements within a document, as well as the type of data that is being encoded. This allows XML-based applications to process documents more efficiently, and makes it easier for computers to index and search through content.
