Singapore private investment firm evolves brand and website

M&L Group is a family investment firm active in hospitality, healthcare, shipping and complementary sustainable sectors.

Stepworks was engaged to support a realignment of the group’s brand strategy and business objectives. The group also sought to present its investment sectors under a single brand. 

The branding team began with peer research to ascertain an appropriate positioning for M&L Group. 

The findings informed the distinctive positioning phrase, Nurturing opportunities, cultivating growth. This thought uniquely summarises the family’s values and purpose.

Nurturing deep roots

The brand building team designed an evolved brand identity. Its new logo depicts a tree motif integrating a stylised M and L, celebrating founders and family. 

A serif logotype conveys a sense of elegance and sophistication – appropriate for presenting the group’s hospitality portfolio. It is paired with a modern sans-serif typeface to signal progress. 

An engaging new website

The team designed and developed a new website to launch and support the revitalised brand.

Previously hosted across several websites, visitors are now directed to relevant investment sectors under a single domain. 

Easier-to-administer, the website serves as a communications centrepoint, ensuring clarity and consistency across M&L Group’s messaging.

Ready for growth

The project capped off with image curation and team photography guidelines.

M&L Group is now well-equipped to enhance stakeholder understanding of its unique offering. 

The collaboration between M&L Group and Stepworks resulted in a clear and compelling brand presence that supports its business strategy.
