Pantone honours HK Tramways’ revitalised brand colour

International colour authority Pantone Color Institute is the world leader in codified colour standards. Its products are used by over 10 million designers and producers worldwide to ensure consistent colour reproduction.
On 16 July 2021 Pantone announced it was officially naming its dark green colour 3415C HK Tram Green in a salute to Hong Kong’s iconic trams.
HK Tram Green was initially selected by Hong Kong branding and digital design agency Stepworks during its collaboration with HK Tramways to revitalise the service’s brand.
HK Tramways celebrated by decorating tram number 88 as a Pantone colour chip.
In other news, HK Tramways system was recently recognised by the Guinness World Records as the largest double-decker tram fleet in service.
