KEF, Porsche Design and Stepworks collaborate on a pioneering photoshoot

Noted German design house Porsche Design extends the automotive brand with fashion and accessories targeting those who aspire to the sports driver lifestyle. Recently Porsche Design and legendary British speaker manufacturer KEF teamed up to develop a crossover line of high-resolution audio accessories.
KEF commissioned Stepworks to design and develop a series of animated product videos to complement the launch of the innovative earphones, headphones and Bluetooth accessory speaker. The objective was to showcase the crossover products for its audience of dedicated audiophiles.
Porsche Design and KEF were impressed with the quality and clarity of the campaign videos. Subsequently, they recruited Stepworks as design partner to develop a set of fashion photographs depicting people using the audio products.
Fast and stylish
Stepworks overcame tight deadlines and logistical challenges to organize and direct a shoot, complete with a Porsche car on location. The result was a collection of on-brand shots showing people enjoying the Porsche lifestyle, and KEF x Porsche Design products.
The cross-border collaboration involved teams in UK, Germany and Hong Kong, and the shots were first rolled out in OOH media in Shanghai, and subsequently all around the world.
