Rackspace launches playful multi-channel campaign with HK branding agency

As the #1 managed cloud provider, Rackspace helps businesses migrate and manage their IT services. Although many potential customers are tempted by the cloud’s benefits, Rackspace wanted a unique way to stay top of mind during the often lengthy decision making process.
 
Rackspace enlisted Stepworks’ marketing expertise to enhance customer conversion. The Hong Kong-based branding and marketing agency devised an engaging multi-channel campaign to tap prospects’ creative spirit. The playful campaign reminded prospects of Rackspace’s strengths and benefits of the cloud.
 
Imagination into orbit
 
Inspired by Rackspace’s celestial brand name and business offering, Stepworks executed a sophisticated multi-channel campaign. Key decision-makers received an unassembled Nanoblock Spaceman as a playful reminder of Rackspace’s services. They were also promised a Nanoblock Space Station if they agreed to meet. 
 
The direct mail piece drove prospects to a supporting online landing page to schedule a face-to-face meeting. Meanwhile, a supplementary email marketing campaign encouraged them to follow up with Rackspace. 
 
The Rackspace team expressed satisfaction with the results, and the friction-free productive collaboration.
