HKEX recently collaborated with Stepworks to refresh the designs projected on the massive LED backdrop used for its IPO ceremonies.
The previous system was originally developed with Stepworks in 2023 as part of a redevelopment of the entire ceremony and brand identity system upgrade.
The latest initiative elevates the experience for issuers and guests while preserving the established structure of the ceremony environment.
Stage managed path to success
Working closely with the HKEX team, Stepworks developed two creative directions before progressing the selected approach.
The designs complement the heritage costumes and ceremony that makes a Hong Kong IPO so distinctive.
The chosen direction defines a continuity of visual scenes for the various ceremony moments.
Design adaptations were produced for both big and small gong formats to support different ceremony setups.

The team worked with HKEX and technical partners to deliver CMS and front-end templates.
