A Hong Kong-listed food retailer serving Asia enlisted Stepworks to develop a new B2B baked goods brand targeting retailers.
The collaboration started with competitor research which informed the brand strategy. From this process emerged a new brand name Callista Foods and the positioning phrase, Fresher delights.
Inspiration flowers
The Callista name is inspired by the Calla Lily – a flower associated with purity and freshness that’s also applied by a sister brand. The flower became a subtle feature of the logo and inspired the core brand identity.
To launch the business, the Callista + Stepworks team went on to create a range of collaterals, from a website and sales enablement deck to cake boxes, uniforms, stationery, emailers and other branded items.
Healthy roots for future growth
After producing English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese brand stories, the team developed a multilingual website. Website development included copywriting, imagery, deployment and CMS training.
The new brand identity was well received by internal stakeholders.
Supported by brand guidelines, the Callista Foods team now has a complete toolkit to build awareness, inspire confidence in prospective customers and support business growth.
