A wholly-owned subsidiary of US insurance giant MassMutual, Haven Technologies Asia is an SaaS (Software as a Solution) provider based in Hong Kong. As MassMutual doesn’t operate in Asia, it decided to offer its proven digital technology to life insurers in the region.
The company’s software enables insurers to effectively engage with customers in digital channels. Central to the offering is an AI-based automated underwriting module that reduces mortality risk assessment times from days to seconds – and cuts the costs involved up to 80%. The service easily integrates with insurers systems to handle customer onboarding and after-sales service, administrate policies and much more.
A complex B2B offering simplified
Haven Technologies engaged branding and digital specialists Stepworks to help position and launch the offering. The project involved developing a brand strategy and messaging frameworks and various design elements. The team went on to collaborate on a website with video to launch the product, explain its benefits and offer Asia’s insurers a path for further engagement.
The core message presented the offering as Simply beautiful insurance technology. Distilling the brand into this key message ensured attention from Asia’s insurance company decision-makers. When it comes to investing in digital technology, these executives face extremely tough decisions. Should we develop a system in-house? Should we get a system from an outside vendor?
